Established in Devonport , Tasmania in 1992, the name EASY-FIT Fencing Components is well and truly recognised throughout Australia and overseas for its quality, reliability and service.

Proudly Australian made and owned, EASY-FIT has been manufacturing fencing components in Tasmania for over 14 years, and in that time have grown to become the most advanced manufacturer of fencing components in Australia - supplying our products to every state and territory in Australia, and exporting all over the globe. EASY-FIT latches and hinges can be found on pool and playground fences and gates in locations such as New Zealand , Singapore , Canada , France , South Africa and the US .

Starting as a one man operation, EASY-FIT has grown steadily over the past decade, now employing many local Tasmanians, with the plan to double the workforce in the next five years.

In both 2004 and 2006, EASY-FIT was honoured to receive the prestigious Tasmanian Regional Exporter of the Year award in recognition of the continued exporting success the company has built upon since its inception in 1992. With ongoing research in design and innovation, EASY FIT are always developing new products for the fence and gate industry. We are the only manufacturer to feature not one, but two rare earth magnets in our latches, providing even greater security for your most precious assets.

Prior to establishing EASY-FIT , its founder John Richards owned a business manufacturing gates of all kinds. During this time, it became evident to John that off-the-shelf hinges for gates had a few problems, so he set out to not only change the shape of gate hinges, but the way they were manufactured.

As a result, EASY-FIT was established to design and manufacture fencing products that were rust resistant, strong and easy to fit, and could be used for left and right hand opening gates.

After two years of designing and testing prototypes, the first product was produced using a new patented design and production method of engineering plastics. This made EASY-FIT products very easy to use, and far superior to any imported gate hinge.

Since 1992, EASY-FIT have added a further 5 products to its range - including the EASY-FIT Adjustable Pool Latch featuring two rare earth magnets - and have expanded operations to supply the demand within Australia and export markets in the US, Europe, Asia and Africa. Two new products are now in the testing phase, ready to supply the global market in the next 6 months.
